Friends of fisher house
Friends of Fisher House Charleston is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the families of veterans receiving medical care in Charleston, South Carolina. Their mission is to provide a “home away from home,” offering comfort, community, and compassion during challenging times. Located near Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, the Fisher House allows families to stay close to their loved ones without the financial burden of lodging. Volunteers play a key role, especially through the organization’s Meal Train, which provides home-cooked meals to guests.
