    Palmetto Project has catalyzed over 330 public-private partnerships that have enhanced the quality of life for all South Carolinians. Palmetto Project identifies and puts into action innovative ideas that improve social and economic outcomes for South Carolinians.

    At Lowcountry Food Bank, every hour you give helps fight hunger and restore hope.   • Entryway

    Providing a life-changing solution for situational homelessness.  Entryway is a national organization that transitions individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness to economic self-sufficiency by providing career training, full-time employment and housing opportunities in partnership with the real estate industry.

  • Trident Literacy Association

    The mission of Trident Literacy Association is to eliminate all adult illiteracy and reverse the cycle of generational poverty in the Charleston Tri-County Region. We will accomplish this through evidence-based programs facilitated by highly trained staff and volunteers supported by focused fundraising and fiscal sustainability.

  • Lowcountry Orphan Relief

    Lowcountry Orphan Relief provides emergency clothing and essentials through our Care Kit Program or Just In Case Closets in Title 1 schools to meet the needs of children suffering from abuse, abandonment and neglect.

  • Soul Harvesters

    Soul Harvesters Outreach Ministry works to uplift families and communities by offering practical support, spiritual encouragement, and outreach services. Their mission is to show compassion and empower individuals through dignity, inclusivity, and equality to help people build more stable, self-sufficient lives.

  • Charleston Women in Tech

    Built to support and connect , CHSWIT prepares women of all ages for careers in technology. They offer mentoring, networking events, workshops, and educational programs to help women thrive, grow, and lead in the tech industry.

  • Communities in Schools of South Carolina

    Surrounding students with a community of support. Communities in Schools of SC works to surround students with a supportive community by embedding site coordinators in public schools across the state to help remove barriers to learning. By connecting students and their families with essential resources and offering tailored supports, CISSC helps kids stay in school, flourish academically, and build pathways for success.

  • Friends of Fisher House

    Friends of Fisher House Charleston is a local nonprofit organization that supports the Charleston Fisher House—a “home away from home” near the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center—by providing essential comforts like free lodging, meals, pantry items, and transportation resources to families of veterans receiving medical care.

  • Alzheimer's Association, SC Chapter

    This local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association serves people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, their caregivers, and families across South Carolina. It offers statewide education, support services, advocacy, and resources to help improve care and quality of life while advancing research and public policy toward ending Alzheimer’s.

  • Berkeley County Animal Center

    The county’s main public animal shelter in Moncks Corner that cares for homeless, abandoned, abused, and neglected pets while working to reunite lost animals with their owners and find adoptive homes, is dedicated to providing a safe, healthy, and respectful environment for animals and encourages community involvement through adoptions, fostering, volunteering, and donations to support its mission.

  • Boys and Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry

    Boys and Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry is a youth development nonprofit serving children and teens ages 6–18 across multiple locations in the South Carolina Lowcountry, with a mission to help young people—especially those who need support most—reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

  • Call Me Mister

    This program is a teacher recruitment and support initiative designed to increase the number of highly qualified educators from diverse, often underserved backgrounds, especially in high-need schools and communities. The program selects aspiring teachers into cohort-based learning communities that provide academic coaching, leadership development, mentorship, financial assistance, and professional support as they complete teacher preparation and transition into the classroom.

  • Camp Happy Days

    Camp Happy Days is a South Carolina nonprofit that supports children diagnosed with cancer and their families by offering cost-free, year-round programs, special events, and resources designed to improve their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. The organization’s mission is to remind families that they are loved and supported and to ensure no child faces pediatric cancer alone.

  • Charleston Animal Society

    South Carolina’s oldest and one of the nation’s earliest animal protection organizations, dedicated since 1874 to preventing cruelty to animals and saving the lives of homeless, neglected, and abused pets, the society operates an AAHA-accredited shelter and veterinary clinic, offers adoptions, spay/neuter services, humane education, volunteer and foster programs, and leads community-wide efforts to sustain a No-Kill philosophy and improve animal welfare across the region.
